WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

• flat access is via the Beech Road entrance
  
• a disabled WC is located adjacent to the ladies and gents toilets
  
• to make ordering at the bar easier, there is a reduced height section in the Tap Room
  

CHILDREN

• children are welcome every day until 9pm, after which time the venue is adults only
  
• children are not allowed in the immediate vicinity of the bar, and must be supervised at all times as there are open fires in the two front rooms
  
• we have a number of high chairs for your supervised use
  
• there is a baby changing unit in the disabled WC
  
• due to the constricted nature of the venue, we ask that large prams are not brought inside, and that push chairs are folded away before you come in
  

DOGS

• to say we welcome dogs is an under-statement. We're listed on all the major websites for dog-friendly venues and we're the Kennel Club's "Open for Dogs" national pub of the year for 2010!
  
• we are very happy to allow well-behaved dogs (with well-behaved owners) in all areas of the Pub, but we prefer to keep the Dining Rooms dog-free (private functions excepted)
  
• a dog bowl is available on request, and you can count on doggy treats and lots of attention from the staff
  
• dog beer is on sale at the bar. We kid you not - it's real beer with the alcohol and fizz taken out. Add a dash of beef flavouring and serve at room temperature, and it's hard to resist!
  
• other pets by arrangement only. We once had a rabbit turn up unannounced and it caused mayhem

MONEY

• we have an ATM on the premises
  
• we accept payment for food (and accompanying drinks) by Visa, Mastercard and (begrudgingly) American Express
  
• you can pay by card for drinks purchases of £10 or more, but not on Fri/Sat nights as we're too busy and the credit card machine gets stressed out
  
• we do not accept IOUs, payment in kind or banker's drafts written on the inside of a fag packet
  
• we'd quite like you to pay cash really

BOOKINGS

• we do not normally take bookings for tables in the Pub, simply turn up, find a table and order at the bar
  
• we are happy to take bookings for the Dining Rooms and we advise you to book ahead at busy times
  
• for large groups, we request that you contact us to make prior arrangements
  
• we do not take bookings by email, please call us or use our on-line booking system (look for the bright orange star on each page of this website!)
  
• on busy nights, we run a waiting list and you can enjoy a drink in the bar until your table is ready if you haven't already booked
