PETER DALTON

Peter opened his first venue in Manchester in 1990 at the age of 23. The groundbreaking Manto Bar was widely seen as the catalyst behind the regeneration of the Canal Street/Whitworth Street corridor and quickly became a landmark modern building within this famous conservation area. Peter went on to open a further eight venues in Manchester and London before scaling back his business and eventually selling up in 2006 to fulfil a lifelong ambition and travel round the world.

Having been itching for some time to get ‘back to the floor’, Peter’s experience, coupled with a love of roast dinners and real ale, makes him perfectly suited to head up the operations side of the business.

SIMON DAVIS

SIMON DAVIS

Prior to taking the helm at the Horse & Jockey, Simon was a restaurant manager with Croma. With a career spanning 15 years, Simon understands the demands of a busy food operation and the balancing act between front of house and kitchen duties.

A long-time Chorltonite with a passion for good wine, and an obsession for English comfort food, Simon’s hands on approach and intimate knowledge of the Manchester restaurant and pub scene is a real asset to the operation.
